Eagle Identification in the Bitterroot Valley

Join raptor enthusiasts and MPG Ranch biologists’ Kate Stone and Eric Rasmussen for an online tutorial on eagle identification. The Bitterroot Valley hosts breeding and overwintering Golden and Bald Eagles. At certain stages of their life, they can be confusing to identify. Do you want to eBird your sightings? Maybe you already classify images on Zooniverse for the Bitterroot Valley Winter Eagle Project but struggle to tell them apart. Or are you just tired of asking, “which species of eagle is that”? This zoom class will discuss similarities, highlight differences, and offer tips on eagle identification. And maybe even throw in a couple other common and confusing raptors, if we have time.
